Precautions for selecting optical detection instruments

The inspection requirements are clear: determine the physical quantity to be detected (such as size, shape, surface roughness, defects, etc.), detection accuracy requirements, and the material, shape, size and other characteristics of the inspection object. Different detection requirements correspond to different types of optical detection instruments. For example, high-precision dimensional measurements may require laser interferometers, while surface defect detection is suitable for microscopes or visual inspection systems. Accuracy and resolution adaptation: Select the accuracy and resolution of the instrument according to the detection accuracy requirements to ensure that the instrument can accurately detect tiny features and changes of the target object. The accuracy indicators of the instrument should be better than the accuracy required by the detection task, and the resolution should be able to meet the resolution requirements of details. For example, detecting tiny defects on the surface of the chip requires a high-resolution microscope. Measurement range determination: Ensure that the measurement range of the optical detection instrument can cover the dimension range of the detection object, and avoid the inability to complete inspection or inaccurate measurement results due to insufficient measurement range. For the detection of large objects, instruments with a large measurement range should be selected. For tiny objects, attention should be paid to the measurement performance of the instrument at a small scale. Working distance and field of view: Consider the distance requirements between the instrument and the detected object when working and the size of the field of view that can be observed. Different detection scenarios may have specific requirements for working distance and field of view. For example, for detecting long-distance objects, the instrument requires a long working distance and a suitable field of view to ensure that the target object can be clearly observed. Environmental adaptability: If used in complex environments such as workshops, the instrument needs to be considered to adapt to environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, vibration, dust, etc., and choose optical detection instruments with good protective performance and stability to ensure that accurate and reliable detection results can be provided under different environmental conditions.
