When selecting the model, the model specifications should be determined based on the field of view, working distance, space limitations, etc. Generally, in scenes such as surface defect detection and other scenarios, telecentric lenses with small distortions can be used. Depth of field requirements: For scenes where industrial cameras need to be at a certain angle and the object is clearly imaged, or the target being measured is not on the same plane, the lens depth of field should be considered. The shorter the focal length, the smaller the aperture, the farther the lens is from the object, the larger the camera chip cell, and the greater the depth of field, but the small aperture will lose the fine structure of the object. Adaptable camera chip size: Each lens can only be compatible with cameras of a certain size of chips. In order to ensure image quality, the maximum adaptive chip size of the lens must be larger than the size of the matching camera chip, otherwise severe distortion will occur. Interface type matching: The lens interface (C, CS, F, etc.) must be consistent with the camera interface to ensure that the two can be connected and used normally. Focal length determination: The focal length has a great impact on the field of view and working distance. Before determining the focal length, the factors such as the field of view, the working distance, the camera chip size must be clarified. Distortion attention: Due to the influence of the production process, the lens has inevitable distortion. In a precision measurement system with high accuracy requirements, it is necessary to choose a lens with the smallest distortion possible.
